Mobile information collected through our SMS opt-in process is used exclusively by OYO Energy Limited to deliver the messages you have consented to receive. The SMS opt-in is exclusively between you and OYO Energy Limited.

You may opt in to SMS messaging by checking the consent box on our online quote form at oyoenergy.ca/contact-us (and any landing page that embeds it). Consent is express, opt-in only, and is not required to obtain a quote, become a customer, or use our services.

Message Types

Our SMS program is limited to transactional and customer-care messages only. We do not send promotional or marketing SMS through this program. Transactional messages include:

Frequency, Costs, and Opt-Out

5. How We Share Your Information

Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are not shared with any third party for any purpose. This carve-out applies to every category of recipient listed below, including service providers, installation partners, affiliates, and marketing partners. Phone numbers collected through our SMS opt-in process are used solely by OYO Energy Limited to deliver the SMS messages you have explicitly consented to receive.

Subject to the SMS data carve-out above, we share other categories of personal information only as described below:

  • Service providers (subprocessors): we work with vetted providers who help us operate our business, including our CRM and messaging platform (GoHighLevel and its underlying messaging providers, used solely to deliver consented SMS to you on our behalf), email service providers, hosting providers, and analytics tools. These providers may only access your information to perform services on our behalf and are contractually required to protect it. They are not authorized to use your information for their own purposes.
  • Authorized installation partners: when you become a customer, we may share project-specific information such as your name, property address, and project specifications with our authorized installation team and contractors for the sole purpose of fulfilling your solar installation. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are excluded from this sharing and are never disclosed to installation partners.
  • Legal compliance: we may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.

We do not sell, rent, lease, or otherwise share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in data with any third party for any purpose, including marketing. The SMS opt-in relationship is exclusively between you and OYO Energy Limited.
